Friendship Education Foundation partners with communities to operate, turnaround and transform schools that reflect community values and needs.

In addition to its operating schools, the Foundation works with stakeholders nationwide to assess needs and explore the feasibility of bringing the Friendship model to new communities.

A Friendship LEA school (opened SY2018).

Little Rock

Friendship Aspire Academy PCS - Little Rock Elementary

A Friendship LEA school (opened SY2019).

Friendship Aspire Academy PCS - Middle School
600 students 4-8 grade
A takeover school (former Covenant Keepers College Prep PCS). Arrangement begin as a turnaround and was converted to a Friendship school within a year.

Washington DC

Friendship Public Charter School

Anacostia Sr. High School
600 students grades 9-12
A 4-year school turnaround project with the DCPS (2010-2015).

Scaling Up Schools



Prince George's Co, MD

Plans to open a 500 seat charter school in Bowie Maryland by 2021.

Aurora, CO

Plans to open a 600-student single gender (Boys) elementary school by 2021 in the Denver-metro area. This is a partnership school with the Western Region Alpha Phi Alpha.

San Antonio, TX

Plans to open a 500 student charter school in San Antonio by 2022.
